Les Secrets du Chef is a Belgian culinary concept store where cooking becomes an adventure from the moment you step inside. Created by Fabian Hennus and Alexandre Lerouge, the first boutique opened on August 10, 2006, in Louvain‑la‑Neuve with a clear mission: make culinary creativity accessible to everyone.

The idea behind the brand was simple but innovative—combine a high‑quality kitchenware shop, a cooking school, and a warm, inspiring atmosphere where both beginners and experienced food lovers can learn and explore. Their vision quickly gained recognition, earning them the Global Innovator Award in Chicago in 2009 for being the most innovative tableware retailer among 25 participating countries.

Today, Les Secrets du Chef has grown into a well‑known culinary destination with stores in Brussels, Liège, Louvain‑la‑Neuve, and Namur. Each boutique offers a carefully selected range of top brands such as Global, Kai, Le Creuset, Magimix, and KitchenAid—everything you need to transform your kitchen into a professional workspace.

What truly sets the brand apart is its welcoming atmosphere. Their boutiques feel warm and cozy, decorated like a home kitchen filled with inspiration at every corner. During their popular cooking classes, the energy is contagious: people laugh, learn, taste, experiment, and go home with new skills and big smiles. Workshops range from pasta making and world cuisine to pastry, desserts, and seasonal cooking.

Les Secrets du Chef is more than a store—it is a place where culinary passion grows, creativity comes alive, and everyone, whether a curious beginner or a dedicated foodie, feels at home in the kitchen.

Discover the story of Cédric Grolet, the award‑winning French pastry chef famous for his realistic fruit desserts, creative techniques, and international boutiques in Paris, London, and Singapore.

Cédric Grolet is one of the first pastry chefs to use social media to showcase the artistic and beautiful side of modern pastry. Today, he is celebrated worldwide for desserts that look like perfect pieces of art — and sometimes even too realistic to believe.

There is a moment, just before tasting a dessert, where imagination takes over. Few chefs master that moment better than Cédric Grolet, the French pastry artist known for creations that often look too perfect to be real.

Born on August 28, 1985, in Firminy, France, Grolet grew up fascinated by flavors, shapes, and textures. His early curiosity quickly evolved into a passion that led him to Paris, where he trained at the famous Fauchon pastry house before joining the prestigious Le Meurice hotel. By 2013, he became the hotel’s executive pastry chef — a milestone that marked the start of his international rise.

Grolet became especially admired for his signature trompe‑l’oeil fruit desserts. These desserts look exactly like real fruit on the outside, but reveal layers of creamy textures, vibrant flavors, and delicate craftsmanship inside. Grolet molds thin white‑chocolate shells, airbrushes them with realistic colors, and finishes them with extraordinary precision. His pastries feel like sculptures — yet melt like a dream.

His creativity didn’t stop at the pastry counter. In 2018, Grolet opened his first boutique at Le Meurice, followed by Cédric Grolet Opéra, and later new shops in London (2022) and Singapore (2023). Each location reflects his minimalist and elegant style, with a focus on flavor purity and visual perfection.

Throughout his career, Grolet has earned many of the highest awards in pastry, including being named World’s Best Pastry Chef. What truly sets him apart, however, is his philosophy: simple ingredients, exceptional precision, and the belief that a dessert should stay in your memory long after the last bite.

To taste a Cédric Grolet creation is to experience poetry in pastry — a perfect mix of flavor, texture, imagination, and art.

Every autumn, Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles transforms into a magical world of cocoa, creativity, and celebration. This is the Salon du Chocolat, the largest chocolate and pastry event in the world, first launched in 1995. Since then, it has become an unmissable festival for chocolate lovers, pastry fans, chefs, artisans, and curious visitors of all ages.

The 2025 edition was a milestone year, marking 30 years of chocolate artistry. Nearly 100,000 visitors attended the festival for several days of tastings, workshops, immersive installations, live demonstrations, and the legendary chocolate fashion show—where models walk the runway wearing dresses sculpted entirely from chocolate. It’s whimsical, glamorous, and truly one of the most unique events in the culinary world.

And the magic continues. The next edition of the Salon du Chocolat will take place from October 28 to November 1, 2026, promising an even more exciting experience. More than 500 exhibitors from over 60 countries are expected to participate, including bean‑to‑bar chocolate makers, pastry chefs, and confectionery experts presenting new techniques, new flavors, and new trends.

During the event, visitors can explore themed areas such as Cake Time, enjoy hands‑on activities, join workshops, meet world‑renowned pastry artists, attend live demonstrations, and taste chocolates from every corner of the globe. Each stand hides a discovery: a new flavor, a creative technique, or a chocolate story waiting to be shared.

The Salon du Chocolat is more than a festival. It is a celebration of passion, craftsmanship, culture, and the joy that chocolate brings to people of all ages. Every year, it brings together artisans, families, professionals, and chocolate lovers into one unforgettable moment of indulgence and creativity.
